Operating hours vary between suppliers and branches, and sometimes differ between airports and city branches. While extended service is customary at airports, city branches may close at noon, on Fridays, or during local holidays, and additional adjustments may occur during Ramadan. Therefore, it's important to verify in advance that the hours match your arrival time, consider off-hours pickup service and potential fees, and add a flight number to your reservation in case of delays. It is recommended to check the rental conditions: valid driver's license (sometimes an international license is recommended), passport, and a physical credit card for security, fuel and mileage policy, possibility for one-way rental, and restrictions for traveling to remote areas or crossing borders. When choosing a car, consider useful additions such as GPS, child safety seats, or a vehicle with a high ground clearance for mountain travel. Off-road driving is generally not covered by insurance.

Verify Payment Methods and Documents
The main driver must have an international physical credit card in their name (not debit/prepaid). Bring a valid driving license and sometimes also an international one, ensure minimum age, and check the young driver surcharge by destination.
Understand Coverage and Deductibles
Check what's covered: damage/theft, third-party, windows, and tires. Consider deductible reimbursement through Auto Europe Israel or local expansion, and keep reports and documentation in case of damage for claims.
Check Mileage and Border Crossing
Find out if the rental includes unlimited mileage or daily limits. Verify travel conditions to neighboring countries, islands, and ferries, and get prior approval to avoid fines or canceled coverage.
Document Pickup and Return
Photograph the car from all sides at pickup and return, compare with the damage form, document mileage and fuel gauge, and keep receipts. Return during operating hours to avoid After Hours charges.
