International credit card in the lead driver's name
Rental companies require a physical credit card as a security deposit; debit or prepaid cards are usually not accepted. Ensure sufficient credit limit based on the vehicle type and insurance.

Prefer a full-to-full policy and return the car with a full tank to avoid expensive refueling charges. Keep a receipt from a nearby station to the return branch.
