Rent a Car

Rent a car in Estonia easily

We compare the best car rental deals – no fine print, with real Hebrew support. Choose your car, book in a few clicks, and travel with peace of mind.

Pick-up locations

At Auto Europe Israel, we are proud of our cooperation with Europcar in Estonia, enabling you to easily book a car at affordable prices through an Israeli team that accompanies you at every stage. Europcar operates a convenient branch at Tallinn Airport (TLL) as well as a branch in the city of Tallinn, so you can collect and return the car at the location that suits you. Booking through us includes support in Hebrew and flexible terms tailored to the Israeli driver.

Car rental companies in Estonia

At Auto Europe Israel, we collaborate with a wide network of car rental companies all over Estonia. Thanks to this, you can choose the pickup point convenient for you from a variety of stations – primarily Tallinn Lennart Meri Airport (TLL), located just minutes from the city center and offering a quick pickup experience right after landing. In addition, rental points operate in the center of Tallinn, near the old city and the port area, as well as in other major cities such as Tartu and Pärnu, and in tourist centers in rural areas. You can collect a car in one city and return it in another within Estonia, subject to supplier availability and conditions, allowing you to plan flexible travel routes along the coast and in nature reserves. Whether you start in Tallinn and plan to continue south to Tartu or west to the coastal towns, we ensure to open convenient pickup and return options, letting you spend more time on experiences and less on logistics.

Operating hours vary between companies and branches and even according to the season. In most cases, airport positions operate in wide hours tailored to flight schedules, while urban branches operate in a more limited format and may even be closed on Sundays and local holidays. Therefore, it is important to confirm in advance that the station hours match your arrival and return times, to receive the car in the most convenient place and time. If you land late or plan an early return, you can sometimes arrange pickup/return outside operating hours or use a key box – subject to approval and possible costs. In the winter season, adjustments in hours and availability may occur, so it is recommended to book in advance and check the details on our order page and voucher, to ensure smooth and convenient pickup and return.

Arriving by domestic flight, interstate ferry, or train? In the vicinity of Tallinn port and the city center, you will find convenient pickup points, and around the central train station (Balti jaam), there are nearby pickup options, subject to availability. The Auto Europe Israel team will gladly advise on the station suitable for your route, confirm precise opening times, and complete all booking details for you easily and confidently.

FAQ – Car rental in Estonia

Is an Israeli driver's license sufficient in Estonia, or is an international license required?
In Estonia, you can rent a car with a valid Israeli plastic license printed in Latin letters, as long as it was issued at least a year ago. However, it is highly recommended to also carry an International Driving Permit (IDP), and some local suppliers like Europcar may require it in addition to the Israeli license. Additionally, upon collection, a passport and credit card in the main driver's name will be required.
What does the basic insurance package include when renting a car in Estonia through Auto Europe Israel, and what additional insurances are recommended?
When booking through Auto Europe Israel with Europcar in Estonia, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and TP (Theft Protection) with a deductible, as well as third-party liability insurance according to local law, are usually included. Upon collecting the car, a deposit equivalent to the deductible will be blocked on a credit card. It is recommended to consider extensions to reduce or eliminate the deductible (Super CDW/Excess Reduction), coverage for windows/tires/mirrors, and extended roadside assistance. In any case of accident or theft, a police report is required to activate the coverage.
Can you add an additional driver, and what is the cost associated?
Yes. At Europcar in Estonia, you can add additional driver(s) at the time of booking through Auto Europe Israel or at the pickup counter. Each additional driver is subject to the same age and license conditions as the main driver and must be present with documentation upon collection. A daily local charge is typically collected for each additional driver, which is detailed in the booking conditions and Auto Europe Israel voucher.
What happens in case of an accident or vehicle malfunction?
In an emergency in Estonia, dial 112. Then immediately contact Europcar's roadside assistance center (the number is on the contract/voucher) for towing or a replacement car, and inform Auto Europe Israel for coordination assistance. Do not attempt repairs yourself, document damages with photos, and in the event of a third-party accident or theft, report to the police and obtain an official report. Returning the car without a report may void insurance coverage.
Can additional accessories like a child safety seat or GPS device be rented?
Yes. At Europcar in Estonia, you can pre-order safety seats of all sizes, GPS, ski racks, etc., subject to availability and for an additional local fee. In the winter season in Estonia, winter tires are installed by law (usually December 1 to March 1); for rental cars, this is part of the seasonal preparation and sometimes a winter surcharge/fee is charged. Snow chains are not common in Estonia. It is recommended to order accessories through Auto Europe Israel in advance to ensure availability.

Tips for car rental in Estonia

On your way to renting a car abroad? At Auto Europe Israel, we've gathered four short tips to help you book smartly, avoid surprises at the pickup point, and drive with peace of mind — from the booking stage to the return.

Plan your fuel policy in advance

Prefer "Full to Full", return the car full and refuel close to the return point. Keep a receipt and photograph the fuel gauge to avoid unnecessary charges.

Check what's included in the insurance

Confirm CDW/TP/SLI coverage, deductible amount, and exclusions (windows, tires, undercarriage). Consider a deductible reimbursement package, and read the local supplier's terms in advance.

Prepare a physical credit card for deposit

International credit card in the main driver's name, not a debit, with sufficient limit. Sometimes a PIN is required. Digital payment methods are not accepted for deposit.

Photograph the car at pickup and return

Document 360° coverage including rims, tires, windows, and interior; the mileage and fuel condition. Request to update a damage sheet and keep documents and receipts in case of disagreement.
